Another Milestone

I finished my welding class, and now am committing time I used to be in class to actually working on the Beetle. This weekend I pulled the transmission. Found that the rear passenger brake line was crushed at some point, which explains why those brakepads look good, and the driver side is worn down the the paper liner.

Welding classes begin

After taking metal straightening last semester. Now moving on to welding classes this semester. At least a good excuse to buy some cool tools :)

Moving the Beetle

This Thanksgiving I invited all the men-folk over to move the Beetle's shell to it's temporary resting place 'round back. If anybody asks - it's a wood pile. I'm hoping for a mild winter so I can start working on the chassis.
